QUESTION: How many of you have had your college football teams have competed (I use compete loosely) in 3 out of five national championship games????? Um, wait, I can answer that! If any of you had the opportunity to go 1-2 in N.C. games you would uber happy...so to all the haters I say, shut it!

1. Of course they will. Mark Richt is Godly. ;)

2. Spurrier's visor is too tight.

3. Don't get too bent out of shape. God doesn't love the Southeast that much.

4. Remember, Lou Holtz works for ESPN, and he used to be at USC.

5. Lou read The Secret in the offseason.

6. Define "big game". Against U$C? No, not with Sanchez iffy. In the bowl? Prolly. Iron sharpens iron, and tOSU is in the Rust Belt.

7. Could be U$C losing with Mitch Mustain under center. And somewhere in Oxford, Houston Nutt will order another plate of wings to celebrate.

8. The BCS is why I quit caring about college football. Give me a Bradley-Terry algorithm or give me death!

1. I dont think they will.
2. Their ridiculous mascot name.
3. Clemson might win the ACC, but the National Championship Game is going to be some combo of Ohio State/Missouri/Florida.
4. Orange is an abrasive color.
5. Lou Holtz pep talks are like caffeine to my soul.
6. I think Ohio State will surprise USC, and I think they'll make it to the National Championship. But will they win? I have no idea.
7. Auburn will lose the first game they are heavily favored in (if you think i threw that in to anger Chad Gibbs, you are correct)
8. Yes. Because it is horrible. And until they fix it, I'll always be a fringe college football fan.

Perry, so glad you asked. Answers:
1) Probably not.
2) In a system that thrives on good QB play, they have no good QB.
3) It really, really should be.
4) It works like this: first, you have to prove you can win, then you get media respect. It's hard to comprehend with some of the sick teams he's had, but Tommy Bowden has now spent a decade in Death Valley without a conference championship. Media used to be Georgia haters, too, until they proved they could win some big games - then the media goes the other way and overhypes you, like pointing to you beating the snot out of a vastly overmatched WAC school in a BCS game as a reason for you being "championship ready." As you can tell, I'm not exactly planning or hoping for UGA or Clemson to play in a title game.
5) No, Lou picked them to win 10 gameths - forget the drug testing, can we get Lou in some speech classes?
6) Perhaps the only thing worse than a UGA/Clemson National Title game would be OSU somehow being involved. Please, merciful Lord, let them lose to USC early in the season so that we can all be spared.
7) Sorry, don't really have time to research this one, although I would place a hefty wager on Appy State not repeating the same feat this year against SEC speed.
8) Yes, probably, but prove it is a great system for money generation for the NCAA, which means it is in no immediate jeopardy.
