		<description>Yeah, if they had determined there was no way they were going to allow the game to be shortened, why even play it at all?   Selig got bailed out when the Rays scored to tie it up.  I wonder what would&#039;ve happened if the score had been different?  Say the Phillies were up 5-1 when the deluge came.  Wouldn&#039;t the case have been much more persuasive for calling the game?

Better solution: shorten the season so that October is really just the WS, not three rounds of playoffs.</description>

		<description>I&#039;m surprised Bud Selig did not call it a tie. Imagine that, Philly would lead 3.5-1.5. The Rays take the last two and we have our first ever tie for the WS! Then they could bump the title over to next season like a skins&#039; game and declare the 2009 WS Champion the back-to-back champ! Or with the tie, Selig could have next year&#039;s All-Star game determine who wins this year&#039;s WS! That&#039;s really making the All-Star game worth something!</description>
