Why Memberships?

Because we want you to take more ownership in being a part of out little tribe of sports fans.

Is it really like Facebook?

No, not at all.

Will it cost me anything?

Nope. Just the time it takes for you to send an initial email to us with your name, favorite team, and a picture of yourself.

Free? Doesn’t that mean I won’t value my membership?

Perhaps, but we really don’t want to take any of your money. And we do think you’ll value your membership here because it will give you the opportunity to participate in certain things we do here that others can not. Plus, we hope that you enjoy the conversation here and want to play more of a part.

Unique opportunities? Like what?

Well, we’re still working on that. But one thing we know for sure that we’ll be doing is a weekly post featuring opinions from our members. This will give you a chance to show your smarts, trash talk your opponents, vent your frustrations, and triumph in your victories. That will probably look something like this (only it will be you guys doing the talking, and not me making up stuff about the Red Raiders and Pistons:

Bryan writes, “This trade between the Nuggets and Pistons is another example of Joe Dumars taking risks. I don’t know if it will work out in the long run, but I am comforted by the fact that this guy is actually out there trying to improve his team in the short and long term.”

Bryan writes, “That Texas/Texas Tech game this weekend was ridiculous. If I was a fingernail-biting type of person I would have probably bitten all of my nails off and drowned in a pool of my own blood.”

Ok Cool, so I get my own membership number?

Yup. every member gets their own little graphic there with your own team colors and your own member number. Like I said earlier, down the road there will probably be more perks and opportunities for you to take advantage of your membership. But for the time being, we are excited to add you to the team and give you more of a voice.

So what do I need to do again?

Send an email to prayersforblowouts(at)gmail_com and include your name, favorite team, and a picture of yourself (preferably a usable headshot). Over the next few weeks we’ll collect membership requests and create your digital membership cards. Then we’ll announce the first batch of members and start giving you opportunities to sound off.

Can I ask any more questions?

Yeah, that’s what the comments are for. Just remember, we’re still trying to figure this out, but we’re pretty sure it’s going to be fun. Personally, I can’t wait to see you guys and gals bring the awesome with your unique insight into the sports world.
