Romo
Oh that Tony Romo. A few weeks ago he was changing the tire of a broken down couple. This week he took a homeless man to the movies. “I haven’t showered in days,” the man said. “Don’t worry about that,” Romo allegedly replied. “I’m used to locker rooms.”
Is he a genuinely good guy or is he pulling these stunts for publicity? Personally, I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, if he was that worried about his public image, he would have dumped Jess Simpson a while ago.
What do you think? As these stories keep coming out, do you nod your head in approval, or roll your eyes in annoyance?

It’s refreshing to hear stories like this, and though it’s good that he’s making news by taking homeless people to the movies instead of DUI arrests or domestic violence disputes, I can’t help but wonder if maybe the homeless guy could have used something other than a free movie ticket.
Still, it’s a refreshing change in the type of off-the-field news we typically get about athletes.

I think he’s just being a good person. If he wanted publicity, he’d be talking to the media more than to just confirm that it happened.

Bryan,
Not to go all copyeditor on your here but, um…. I’m pretty sure you meant to say Tony Romo isn’t concerned about his public image, not his… ahem… pubic image.
Freudian slip, anyone?

@ Ron Davis…well Tony probably but him one of those buckets of popcorn thatwas bigger then his head and probably a Big Gulp to go with the it.
But i like that Tony is out there doing good things for the”no-bodies.” Shows everyone that he is still a kind and caring normal human being and not just the guy who is the QB for the ‘Boys and the boyfriend to Simpson.

Can I nod my head in approval at the action, and roll my eyes at the fact that they keep coming out in the first place?
Actually, the movie ticket seems a little ridiculous, though not at all in relation to Romo. It’s just that…doesn’t it sound like the homeless man gave up on making some money in order to go watch a movie? Heh.
