In his weekly power poll column at Deadspin, Will Leitch (the former editor of the site) references pastor Ed Young and his recent sermon that encouraged every married couple in the church to have sex for 7 days straight. (Well, actually I think it was sex once a day for seven straight days…sex for seven days straight might be physically impossible without a Cialis IV in one arm and a Red Bull IV in the other.)

In the story Leitch mentions spending “the first 17 years of his life as a rather devoted churchgoer” and admits to having seen D.C. Talk in concert more than any other band. He also admits that he’s rambling a bit, saying, “I’m not sure where I’m going with this; it’s almost Thanksgiving, and holidays always get me thinking about being all religious as a kid. It lasted longer than I think it did.”

There’s really no point to this post other than the fact that I’m a big fan of Will’s writing and I find it interesting that he spent most of his formative years in church. Perhaps if I can dig up some photos of him at a Carman concert I can convince him to do an interview with PFB?
